Colour Cabinet Tall by Hay is the brainchild of Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen. Inspired by contrasting lines and surfaces, they create a collection of multifunctional furniture in the name of colour. Colour Cabinet Tall stems from a principle similar to that of the artistic movement of Constructivism, in the pursuit of harmony through the juxtaposition of colour fields included in regular lines. The compact, rigorous volume, lightened only by the slender feet, contrasts with the bright, homogeneous colours, creating a formal balance. The sliding glass doors with a vertical motif do not conceal, but rather amplify the rhythm dictated by form and colour. The appearance is nevertheless neutral in terms of its use: the interior shelves can accommodate documents and books in an office, as well as the family tea set in your living room. Tall sideboard made of organically dyed Valchromat, a unique type of robust and FSC-certified MDF material. Panels made of UV lacquered Valchromat. Edges lacquered with water-based varnish.
