Silica Mirror is one of the furnishings that the Fiam brand presented at Salone del Mobile 2023. It is a creation with high decorative potential, which Israeli designer Arik Levy himself defines as a true “functional work of art.”Silica Mirror tells of the depth and complexity of its design process, as it is an object that creates a relationship with what it reflects. The mirror is the only material that offers the possibility for the user to be able to have a vision of himself, creating an inevitable dialogue between subject and image. Translating into a graphic key the contrast between perfection and imperfection that coexists in the human being, the design of Silica was born: the clarity of the central mirror surface alternates with the irregular and organic texture of the frame that reflects light by fragmenting it. Arik Levy takes full advantage of the fifty years of know-how of Fiam artisans, giving the glass an unprecedented and symbolic expressiveness.Wall or floor mirror with 6-mm glass frame cast in high-fire and back-silvered with real cast silver; handcrafted texture obtained. 5 mm flat mirror.
